While wandering along the river yesterday with no particular purpose in mind other than wandering around, I noticed that Mother Nature had added some rather subdued pieces of jewelry to the river edge, just a foot or two from the water. The elements from which She chose to fabricate them were simply sand and ice, and some willow twigs that the beavers had carelessly left laying around.
(While shooting such scenes, in the extremely unlikely event that anyone else might ever want to do that, having one knee on the ice and one foot in the river as I ended up doing is strictly optional.)
