On a hike this morning, this scene caught my attention, most likely because the morning light was just right to bring out the colors of the leaves. Obsessed with that I took five shots before realizing there were small ripples on the water when there shouldn’t have been with no breeze blowing. A little closer scrutiny of the scene revealed a muskrat far off to my right swimming back and forth tending to his morning business. I waited him out and finally got this shot with a calm surface on the pond.
