With the fading light of evening and the dimness of the deep canyon giving its snow-white petals a bluish cast, this small blossom awaited the onset of its first night: there was just one.
I was surprised to see the blue petals too but I didn’t have time to experiment around with it. I’m surprised to see a strawberry blooming this early, and it is a very small blossom at that.
How very beautiful! Wild strawberries do have lovely blossoms. I eagerly await for the wildflowers and wild strawberries to bloom here. The evening light does have wonderful hues upon nature and landscape. Great capture, montucky.
wow,…I didn’t recognize it until I read your text,… I actually thought it WAS a blue flower. Neat!

I love wild strawberries. They are like nature’s tiniest roses followed up by a tasty bit of heavenly nectar.

Yes, they are delightful. We have a bed of them near the house and while we eat one or two in a summer, the rest belong to the Robins.

Montucky, I’m on a Beatles kick. Loved the photo of the (blue)strawberry plant. And of course it reminds me of Strawberry Fields

Your area is so far ahead of ours! Of course, at the moment we’ve dipped back nearly into winter: it was 25 last night
