Hi Montucky, I really like the pictures – very beautiful! I do enjoy seeing the fall colors. The picture of the water is my favorite. Have a stupendously great day today!
They are, Stacey, although I think the trees have not all gotten back to normal yet after last year. Some have lost their foliage already and others haven’t turned color yet.
This fall has been very nice weather-wise. Snow is forecast now above 4,000 feet, and that is about normals for this time of year. Still more colored leaves to come though.

This lake is in a pretty setting. It won’t be too long now when it will be frozen over and folks will be out on it ice fishing.

That dark water looks so cold! The leaves are so pretty in masse.

The water is quite cold already. The lake is at about 4,000 feet so it’s a little colder than the lower ones.

I’ve always like this lake. I used to fish there when I was a kid and still visit several times a year.

Wonderful! Love the second and third ones best. The leaves in the second one make me think of golden brown sugar!

It’s hard to beat aspens in the fall. We don’t have the large numbers of them as they do in Colorado, but the small groups really stand out.

Thanks Kateri. Maybe with the cold weather that we’re now having there will be more golds.

Impressive colors. I especially like the orange reflection in the lake.

The light was just right for the lake to catch to reflections of the leaves and the sky as well. Sometimes you get lucky.

I’ve been offline for a few days and how I missed my daily Montana fix! That last photo is beyond wonderful. I can almost smell the cool, crisp air.

It’s getting cool and crisp now. Yesterday the trail we hiked was frozen.

the only way we can tell it’s fall is by turning the pages on the calendar!

Lovely photos. I love the fall, but it is a pity that it lasts here so short time. For example birches have no leaves anymore.
Last photo is my favorite.
Happy fall.

We still have fall colors, although here too some of the trees have already shed their leaves.
