    • This lake is in a pretty setting. It won’t be too long now when it will be frozen over and folks will be out on it ice fishing.

    • The water is quite cold already. The lake is at about 4,000 feet so it’s a little colder than the lower ones.

    • I’ve always like this lake. I used to fish there when I was a kid and still visit several times a year.

  6. Wonderful! Love the second and third ones best. The leaves in the second one make me think of golden brown sugar!

    • It’s hard to beat aspens in the fall. We don’t have the large numbers of them as they do in Colorado, but the small groups really stand out.

    • Thanks Kateri. Maybe with the cold weather that we’re now having there will be more golds.

    • The light was just right for the lake to catch to reflections of the leaves and the sky as well. Sometimes you get lucky.

    • They are, Stacey, although I think the trees have not all gotten back to normal yet after last year. Some have lost their foliage already and others haven’t turned color yet.

    • This fall has been very nice weather-wise. Snow is forecast now above 4,000 feet, and that is about normals for this time of year. Still more colored leaves to come though.

  16. Lovely photos. I love the fall, but it is a pity that it lasts here so short time. For example birches have no leaves anymore.

    Last photo is my favorite.

    Happy fall.
