    • I’ve not taken as many photos the past year, but still collected some pretty scenes. I hope to do better with that this year too.

    • Sunrises are usually very peaceful and it’s always exciting to me to see the very beginning of a new day ushered in so beautifully.

  8. Nothing like a beautiful sunrise to start the beginning of a new day. We have so many facets of nature to be thankful for (in this difficult time in the world today).

    • Perhaps those “facets of nature” are there just for times like these to help us through.

  9. What a beautiful view…especially after a particularly rough day. Thanks for the reminder that there is always beauty in the world if we take the time to see it and no matter how bad it gets, the sun will rise again on a new day.

    • I think that natural beauty is there as a stabilizer for us to help our balance. I know it is for me.

  12. Your photos do such a fine job of giving a voice to the dawn. I’ve not thought of this song in forever, but your photos brought it back. It’s so good to be reminded of the mountains, and to dream of seeing them some day.

    • Thank you so much for the link, Linda! I had never heard that song before! I remember my father saying many times that he could never leave these mountains, and he never did. With every passing day now I understand more clearly what he felt.

  23. Beautiful imagery captured in the early dawn light. The wilderness area around the Clark Fork is amazing to witness. I have many memories from my time in western Montana in the early to mid-1980s.

    • The Clark Fork is still a treasure and a source of beauty. I’m blessed because I can see it and enjoy it every day. I could never leave here.
