Some of my windows were nicely decorated during the night. Might as well enjoy winter while it’s still here!

Did you have to deal with any flash reflections or were you able to take the pics without using the flash?

No, there was no need for flash. That would have been difficult.

Sometimes when I take photos inside, the flash wants to come on and then I get the reflections. If it was bright enough, there would be no need. I could turn off the flash inside but often it’s too dark. Anyway, I do love those designs on your windows. Those are really special photos.

I wanted to give this a dozen likes! Our windows don’t frost anymore. Not sure if that’s modern windows or climate change.

These were just on the windows of a south-facing room. No other windows had them.

I love it when there’s frost on the windows. Such gorgeous designs! Apparently, it was near 80 degrees in our neck of the woods yesterday, but hubby and I are vacationing in AZ and it was chilly here in the ’50s. Go figure. But we are enjoying the sunshine. 😀

The curled ones are unusual. I don’t think I’ve ever seen mine do that.

I’ve heard that frost basically grows on minute particles of dirt on the glass, but that still doesn’t explain the curling. I like it!

Now I’ll have to watch closer to find more of the curling. As far as frost forming on dirt particles, no wonder there was so much frost on these!

It is indeed a blessing to live on a planet that has water in all of its physical forms….the crystalline form is very beautiful and you’ve captured it magnificently, but you’ve also taken some very beautiful photos of it as a liquid. No water vapor pictures yet, well, unless you count clouds!

So delicate and absolutely beautiful. We were told as children that this was the result of fairies ice skating during the night.

They’re really beautiful. I remember frosted windows, but I can’t remember ever watching the process. Do the crystal form quickly enough, after they’ve begun multiplying, for you actually to see their formation?

I’ve never see the forming process either, but I would guess it is a fairly slow process. I’ve seen ice form on water, but in stages, not like a video that you could watch.
