On my trip south there were stretches of beautiful sky but my schedule was very tight. A few days later it was cloudy and hazy and not good for landscapes.
These are gorgeous shots! I just love that hill in the first photo and reminds me some of what Kansas looks like in the southwest with the layered hills with wild junipers growing in the tough earth and expansive sky.
Thanks! There are hundreds of those red and white granite hills in that area. Unfortunately the weather didn’t permit much photography on that part of my trip.

Thanks Anna. I love the Montana mountains, but I also find the desert and prairie hills very enchanting.

We’ve always liked southern Utah and when we lived in the Phoenix area, went up there many times to get out of the late summer heat.

The color of the upper photo reminds me from the Granite we have here everywhere.
Great photos – both of them.

It’s very pretty there. These photos were roughly a hundred miles apart.

Must have been hard not to stop every few miles, Terry. These are beautiful photos.

It was tough that day, but my schedule was so tight. Then on the return trip I had time but the weather wasn’t right.
