Wow now that’s a FIND!! Looks like a cold swim though. They don’t seem the slightest bit spooked by you… very nice photos!

i said “they” think that was another bird hiding in the upper left… that must be snow! now that i have my glasses on it looks like snow. lol

Yep, snow. There were patches all of the way up to where we hunted and the roads were glare ice for several miles. I guess it’s time.

This is a wild one and I think he was happy that I didn’t pose a threat. Nice of him to stay around long enough for a picture though!

They do well in the cold. I have some goose-down clothing though and I know how warm it is.
