Definitely! The snow-capped peak in the distance is so rocky and rugged that it will be protected from encroachment.

Your comment is very interesting. I have somewhat the same feeling, although I always have the feeling that being in places like that is where I am completely at home and supposed to be and the world of the cities in the distance below is what is lost.

It was one of several really nice days that we’ve had lately. Luckily I was able to take advantage of it.
I will not part with the old Wrangler. It’s still fully functional and in great shape, and is now in semi-retirement. I will still use it in many ways but after 22 years I thought it was time to upgrade. The new one is a Renegade Trailhawk, the off-road model of the Renegade line. One of it’s advantages is in 50% better fuel efficiency.

I laughed at your comment about one of the nice things about wildflowers being the places they live. I presume they don’t have to worry about HOAs and such — although around here they do have irritants to deal with, like over-enthusiastic mowers and people who still think clover is a weed. That’s a gorgeous view, and it’s really kind of nice that you have that to enjoy now along with some remaining snow. These transitional seasons are the best.

I also love the transitional seasons, especially spring because it repeats itself several times before it succumbs to summer. Along the back country trails, the only things that wildflowers have to fear are ungulates.

After driving the Wrangler for 22 years and 230,000 miles I decided to give it some relief, especially for the longer trips. The Renegade has a little different look to it but compares quite well to the Wrangler in handling and capabilities plus a lot better traction control and 50% better gas milage. If it holds up anything like the Wrangler has I will be very happy.

I always find Your photos beautiful and inspiring. I love the color of Your car Renegade. In my country we have too much gray, white and black cars. Mine is blue as usually, two years old small BMW. Thank You.

Thank you Matti! I have liked your blue cars! Over the last few years here the manufacturers have come out with some very bright colors and that makes things more pleasant on the highways.

Thank You Terry. Yesterday it was a nice coincidence. I have ordered more than 40 years to my home a magazine called “The World of Technique” which treats all kind of matters like car presentation and deep car tests. Yesterday it presented just Your car of same color!!! I love – great car!

This is a beautiful time of year here, but with the warm weather we are already on the verge of wildfire season. I hope to get out more before that starts and hope there won’t be a lot of fires. Last year was really good and I worked on only one large fire: I hope this year will be as good,

Thanks! Yes, large and small. Despite the exploitation of the wild country, particularly over the last century, it is still possible to see many of the wild creatures in their historical environment and I hope that will continue.

Yes, pretty steep mountainside. That has been a favorite road for a long, long time. It leads to the trail head for the Big Hole Lookout.

Ahhh…to experience beauty, bravery is often required. I was thinking the car was kind of parked close to the edge there. One who takes photos has to be very aware of where they are standing–while admiring the wildflowers. 🙂
