Unless there’s a forest fire going, there’s hardly any pollution in the air here and so when the clouds move out the sky is that intense blue.

I saw that when I moused over the mountain, it said Eddy Peak. So, I looked it up, and found this: Mt. Eddy was named after Olive Paddock Eddy, the first woman to climb Mt. Shasta. Very cool! And, it’s almost 7,000 ft. in elevation. The blue of the sky really is wonderful.

There is still an active fire lookout on top of Eddy Peak and from there they have quite a view.

Beautiful. That deep, deep blue is something we rarely see, even under the best conditions. But there’s a front on the move, so later this week we may see some blue skies, too.

We had a small front move through overnight too and it left us another 4 inches of snow. I hope you do get some blue skies. It really picks up one’s spirits.

The song would be stuck in my mind except that we got another 4 inches of snow again lat night and the sky is white again today. Ah, spring time and its weather roller coaster!

That’s a fine example of the intense blue that the sky becomes in winter.
It looks like there’s still plenty of snow to melt!

The peaks will probably have snow visible in mid July. In 2008 I visited one of them and found deep snow on the shaded slope.

I suppose you could it the road is open to them. It would be a long ride though… you remember the road. And there is the avalanche hazard…

That’s the color when there is no smoke of water vapor in the air. At night the stars are very bright too.
