The reason for my absence
There is a new love in my life. She arrived as a wonderful Valentine’s Day gift to our family and I was finally able to make the trip to meet her. Fortunately she inherited her good looks from her mother and father: she looks very much like her mother did when she was a baby. I won’t try to describe my feelings for her and her new family because this is a blog post and not a book.
Now I will re-enter the blog world again and slowly start trying to catch up with all I have missed in my absence. I expect that will be a little like entering a freeway into California traffic.

Thanks Lynn! I was in your area last week and would have contacted you but had to cut my time short due to a physical problem I had. I will visit again!

Next time is perfect. I’m having a knee replacement in July – so I will be around if not walking much.

I’m glad you are having the knee replacement Lynn! I had a replacement a little over two years ago and it’s doing great. I can now take any hike with it. Over 3500 miles on the new knee and it feels great! Work hard on the rehab… it’s worth all the effort!

Very happy for you–what a beautiful baby! Mazel tov, as we say in my neck of the woods. I wish you much happiness and a wonderful relationship with her as she grows.

Of all the things I imagined, this wasn’t on the list! She’s beautiful, and I can only imagine the happiness she’s already brought. I’d say she’s blooming as brightly as any Montana flower — and probably moreso!

ah, the joy of a new baby in the family and in ones life. so happy for you all!
the Calif. freeway comparison made me chuckle, so different than anything in Montana! When people complain about traffic here, well it makes me smile.
