I’m sure the fact blue is my favorite color has nothing to do with liking the flowers. 🙂

These bluebells are really lovely. In my eye much more interesting than the English Bluebell we have here in Australia.
The images are really nice too. Don’t raindrops add an extra dimension to flower photography.

I like nothing better than to find and photograph wildflowers in the rain. I would guess that nearly half of my wildflower photos were taken in the rain.

Yes, those are the Scottish bluebell, also known as harebell, really pretty all summer. But I am particularly looking forward to the British bluebells, Hyacinthoides non-scripta which form carpets in woodlands and are so fragrant. Late May is when they come out, at least in Scotland. 🙂

Until I read your comment I had not realized that this species is found only in the westernmost states. They have bloomed a little early this ear and I nearly missed seeing them.

Yes, they are pretty blossoms. They grow very close to the ground and so the background shows the evergreen needles and duff from the trees overhead.
