While capturing the scenes of the yellow hills I discovered that the Larkspur were also in bloom. It was a nice reward from Mother Nature for climbing the hill to photograph the sunflowers.

The blue and yellow go together very well. That blue colour is really intense. I love it!

Those blue petals have a velvet-like surface that really holds to color.

I like the way the balsamroot grows in discrete clumps. It certainly is prolific, and brightens up the landscape beautifully. The larkspur is nice, too, and combines well with the yellow of the balsamroot. Big spreads of one kind of flower are nice, but I do love the combinations.

It’s now getting far enough into springtime that more flowers are blooming and that provides a lot of combinations. That wonderful thing here is that most of what’s blooming now in the valley will be blooming in a month or two at the higher elevations where flower bloom until the snow covers them, so combined there is a long season of flowers.

Two first photos are amazing, Never seen such a beautiful landscape with flowers. Blue flowers are my favorite ones, due to their deep blue color. 🙂
