Beautiful! It’s cloudy and dreary and cold (for here) today in Phoenix but it doesn’t look as pretty as it does up there.

I love love love this: “Sometimes Nature uses clouds to show us what She wants us to see.” She sure does, and your photos are a beautiful testament to that … love these.

I’m glad that you liked these, Teresa! It was on a break between some heavy rain showers and then local snow. I thought the clouds would show some pretty scenes.

Heavy rains lately have melted all of the lower elevation snow, but there is more coming in the next few days. The clouds lifted a little today and I was happy to see that the higher mountain tops have lots of snow!

That was my favorite scene for that day too. A large flock of geese were on the shore just below the trees, but they wouldn’t hold to be in the photo.

Each photo has something different to offer. I’m especially taken with the third — the lone tree against the elements. The tree in the first photo is so graceful. It reminds me of the trees I used to draw in grade school art class. I wasn’t much of an artist, but I could do a passable tree.

We both love trees, don’t we! I’ve watched that lone tree grow on the cliff over the years. Amazingly, it has done well and I enjoy seeing the changes. It’s about twice the size now than it was when I first saw it.

I’m glad that you enjoy the photos. There are so many scenes that captivate me too. The beauty of nature offsets the more harsh thing that we encounter as we go our ways. I’m very fortunate to have so much available nearby.

The clouds almost hide the fact that there are mountains.
The last photo revealing and concealing….beautiful reflections.
I love Montana because of your photos, even though I have never been there.

These were valley clouds which can be lovely, but I usually like better the mountain clouds. There is an other world feeling when one is inside those clouds. When one of them opens a window, you can see a hundred miles.
