    • We’ve had two days of rain, and this will be the third, but the sun broke through briefly this morning and I was lucky enough to catch it.

    • It’s amazing what the various light conditions can do this time of year with all of the color around! A scene like that one simply must be shared!

    • It certainly brightened my day too, Charlie! That scene just appeared in between rain showers.

  5. Beautiful! I love it when the clouds part enough for that to happen. Sometimes just a single tree will be lit up and sometimes it’s the whole forest.

  6. Just out of curiosity, are those railroad tracks on the right? I can’t quite decide — i’ve been waffling. But they look enough like tracks for me to ask. If you have those views AND trains — well, that would be wonderful.

    • They are. Here the railroads could only be built along the rivers. It’s amazing how busy there are now and good because it is an enormously fuel efficient way to move freight.

  7. It’s like a ray of sunshine shone down to light the scene just for you and the yellows give such a contrast to the dark green.

    • Exactly! The orange light from the sun really made those cottonwoods show up!

    • Yes, exactly right. That light condition didn’t last long and the sun angle was just right.

    • The light like that for just a few minutes and I happened to be there at the right time. Nature’s light shows are often very brief.
