    • It was pretty tonight too. I’ll watch for the moon on Halloween.

    • Thanks Jo. Sometimes the very simple things have a lot of impact, don’t they.

    • I live a little too far down in the valley to hear the wolves most of the time, but the elk were bugling a week ago just across the river.

  10. The dog had me out of bed earlier than I wanted, but it worked out OK – I managed to see Venus, Jupiter, and Mars in conjunction in the east before the sun came up. After this weekend that will be harder to do because of the time change (and because they are moving away from one another again).

    • Looks like we won’t even get to see the sun again here until Thursday.

  11. I like your little black dress comparison. It makes me think of the stars and the planets as pearls!

    • We are now getting some beneficial rain, so no star gazing for awhile. So far not much, but today it is supposed to be heavy. It will be so good for the trees to get a good drink before they get into the dry winter season.

  12. There’s something so wonderful and almost mysterious to its setting … what a perfect shot.
