You’ve captured some gorgeous colour in the one above.

    • There have been many very pretty sunsets this year, sadly though, they are more colorful because of the smoke in the air from some tragic fires several hundred miles to the west of us.

  5. Beautiful. We are getting some wonderful sunsets now, too. Still autumn days full of gold – making up for the lack of summer this year!

    • We are getting some fall colors now too, even though the summer temperatures are still hanging around.

  6. Such beauty, Terry. I never get sick of sunsets and sunrises. There is something very spiritual, calming and comforting in their regularity. No matter what is going on in our lives, the sun still rises and sets. Thank you.

    • I also enjoy the sunrise and sunset and hardly ever miss seeing both. The certainly do provide perspective, don’t they!

  8. I especially like the way the single tree on the right balances that wash of glorious color on the left, and the way the river still is holding on to a bit of the light. It’s a glorious photo.

    • There seemed to be an unusual kind of balance there that I immediately liked. That was one of my experiments with a different camera.

    • The mountains create some interesting sunsets, but they last only a very short time.

    • That’s so true. It is usually not difficult to find something that just demands that a photo be taken!

  12. As others have said: what a great sunset. Also, what a familiar yet different autumn to find yourself in.
