There have been many very pretty sunsets this year, sadly though, they are more colorful because of the smoke in the air from some tragic fires several hundred miles to the west of us.
Such beauty, Terry. I never get sick of sunsets and sunrises. There is something very spiritual, calming and comforting in their regularity. No matter what is going on in our lives, the sun still rises and sets. Thank you.
I especially like the way the single tree on the right balances that wash of glorious color on the left, and the way the river still is holding on to a bit of the light. It’s a glorious photo.
Just as beautiful as ever!

Sky pictures are always great, especially around sunset and sunrise.

Yes, and you don’t always have to hike ten miles to see many of them!

Sometimes, I can look out the window or step out on the front porch for them.

Beautiful. We are getting some wonderful sunsets now, too. Still autumn days full of gold – making up for the lack of summer this year!

We are getting some fall colors now too, even though the summer temperatures are still hanging around.

I also enjoy the sunrise and sunset and hardly ever miss seeing both. The certainly do provide perspective, don’t they!

There seemed to be an unusual kind of balance there that I immediately liked. That was one of my experiments with a different camera.

The mountains create some interesting sunsets, but they last only a very short time.

That’s so true. It is usually not difficult to find something that just demands that a photo be taken!

As others have said: what a great sunset. Also, what a familiar yet different autumn to find yourself in.
