Hi Montucky, What an appropriate caption! The graceful old snags under their blanket of snow, with those clouds above are beautiful. Have a wonderful weekend!
This is in the same area as the other photo with the snow on those tree snags, right? But a different time, as the clouds have rolled in? Beautiful. Your camera sure takes clear pictures..
Yes, the same place, just minutes apart. On a day like that the light and clouds change in seconds and so the same views appear differently and new ones become clear. I took about 60 pictures in just an hour or so up there.
When i was a boy I had an HO train set and I used to make trees and bushes out of wires and lichens. That’s what this photo reminds me of-a tiny landscape, even though it’s really huge. It’s a beautiful photo.
Your images almost make me wish for snow … almost … soon enough … soon enough … beautiful image. I love knowing you are actually standing right there…

This is an interesting season for snow here. None in the valleys, but we can go find it in the mountains if we want.
I wish you could have the feeling of standing up there, Teresa!

They sure do have interesting characters, don’t they! I always think of the blizzards they have been in.

The world is different up there. It’s interesting to see how the trees react.

In a place like that, when the weather is changing, hundreds of images appear out of the clouds and sun. It’s a fantastic place to be with a camera!

They really do look like Native American dancers in all their regalia.

It is very hard, but they still live, and in the dry atmosphere their skeletons stay for a long, long time.

It is a scene for the imagination. I wonder how a child would view it.

Now those are some pretty creepy trees. They look like they are right out of Lord of the Rings.

They can be seen that way! If I could get up there when the light is just right there might be some Halloween scenes!

Definitely doing some sort of enticing, twisting tree dance.
Beautiful. Is it already snowing there??

We have had several snows at the higher elevations, but the valleys have not had any yet.

Those tree trunks are great. They are like cannons pointing to the sky.

Interesting who each of us sees something a little different in those trees! I can see the canons.
