  2. The nice thing about winter sunrises is that you don’t have to get up so darn early to catch them!
    Nice one!

    • That’s the truth! One of the things that I’ve liked about retirement though is that I can live a little like the birds do: rise with the sun and turn in after dark.

  3. I would love to be able to step out on my deck and take a photo like that. 🙂 Because of the way our woods and land are situated in order to get a good sunrise I need to go down the road about half a mile to where there is a farmer’s field. Really like the contrast between the dark mountains and pines and golden clouds.

    • That’s what I have to do to get a decent sunset. I hike down by the river.

That small pine shows a lot of promise: it’s one of my favorite trees. In about 200 years it will be a replacement for the one whose needles you see on the left side. I probably won’t be here to see that though.

  10. Oh sure, rub it in. 🙂 We had a total of 5 days of winter (last week), which ended yesterday with temps back in the high 50’s. Not a bit of snow. But you certainly are lucky to have such a sunrise view, complete with a cup of coffee.
