70° would be too warm. Our current conditions are: light snow in the air, 8 inches that fell today on the ground and current temp 22°. Just about where it should be!
Yes, valley level, just up the road a bit. Can’t get into the high country without chaining up, and there’s a winter storm brewing up there tonight anyway.
This snow is a lovely reward for getting through a very hot and dry late summer. We are expecting several very cold nights coming up and the 8 inches of snow will be a wonderful insulation on the roof tops!
I guess we are about at the extreme ends of the lower 48 as far as climate is concerned, aren’t we. Now if there were only a convenient and inexpensive way to get back and forth!
Very pretty! We have had the one light snow, and now since, but I know more will be coming. This has been a warm November with many days in the 60’s and this weekend it is supposed to be in the 50’s.
Well, we may relapse into warmer weather between now and Christmas as some times happens. I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving too! It must be different spending it in another country.
We have a little sun this morning and it’s gorgeous on the snow. I really like snow but not so much the sub-zero temperatures when they pay us a visit, but we are well equipped for both.
Yes it is. The snow is pretty and exciting but it sure hampers access to the trails, at least for hiking. I look forward to having enough for some snow shoeing though.

I’m glad you still had some leaves for the snow to pose on.
Here in Texas the forecast is for a high temperature near 80° tomorrow. We’re in the same country, but you’d hardly know it based on climate.

We were quite warm until recently. This morning it was 10° with about 8 inches of new snow. Beautiful, though!

Looks like winter is there to stay! Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving! I don’t think they eat turkey here in Argentina! Stay warm!

I’ve thought about that, but haven’t spent any time trying yet. I suspect that it might be difficult. Some time this winter I’ll give it a shot.

Very pretty transition photo, must be bittersweet to have autumn pretty much over, though, isn’t it?
