Hi Montucky, Great camera work! I think that the ice on this grass is lovely, clear, and is such a contrast to that deep blue sky! Have a wonderful day!
This photo kind of walked me into it. The frost on the grass sparkled which caught my attention, then after a couple of shots it looked as though I might be able to get the sky as a background… (I crawl around on the ground a lot.)
we’ve been loving the blue blue sky and great weather and gorgeous scenery!! I feel like I have stepped right into your blog! I have seen some “montana” calendars for sale….your photos are every bit as good!
i don’t know what it is but i like it! : )

A clear blue sky here indicates a warm day in summer, but you’re right, in winter it is a sign of cold!

When the sun comes out in winter it seems to highlight the contrasts and I know it’s a good time to be afield with the camera.

Thanks Barbara. It’s another “nose in the snow, flat on the ground” type shot.

Gosh, that is so beautiful. If it weren’t for the blue sky and sunlight, it would look like a silver fireworks explosion.

I hadn’t thought of that, but it does look a bit like a fireworks burst.

So simple and so beautiful. I really can see that there has been cold due to those magnificent crystals. Great photo.

Thanks you Sartenada. This was after the first real frost we’ve had. Earlier there were severely cold days, but no real frost. I always enjoy it.
