After an overnight low of -5° the sun came out for a short time this morning to highlight the pure white snow and the temperature shot all of the way up to 0°!

One of the nice things about an Arctic front when it comes through here is very clear air. There was still a few light clouds today which kept the sky from being deep blue, but a pretty day overall. Thanks for the visit, Amber!

By the way, our temperatures are plummeting low here now. Minus nine in our locality and some 30 miles away minus 18.

We may (doubtful) get a tiny Wintery Mix very early tomorrow morning but if we get anything it will be that ice pellet type of sleet and not true snow. I love your pictures today! That photo was taken from half a mile from my house. I walk up there often, especially in winter, to see that view. The clear air made this photo very clear.

that top photo is amazing! How beautiful – and ooooh – makes me shiver to think of it “warm” at 0 degrees!! I think I’ll stay here with the 3 degrees at wind chill… (Thought it is warming up to the 40’s now! We’re having a heatwave!!) ;o)

We have warmed up now too. With your furnace problem, it’s a good thing it did warm up there, although I remember that 40 can be very cold there with the humidity. We are up to 27 now and getting lots more snow, enough to be a bit concerned for the travelers. There was a break yesterday though and hopefully most made it home OK after Thanksgiving.

Wonderful images… remind me of growing up in Wyoming and Montana… today it’s sunny and blustery here after a morning downpour (with thunderstorms) dumped a bunch of water on us. (might have to go out in the garden for a bit to see what I can see)

I’m happy to say, Tory, that at least some of Montana is much as it was in those older days. I have seen those scenes ever since the 40’s, and so much has remained the same there.
