Scene from September

There are a group of photos taken on a trek in September that haven’t yet been posted. I thought I would work them in when I haven’t much for new ones. This one is a scene in the Cherry Peak roadless area in the Coeur d’Alene Mountains south of Eddy Peak.

  3. Stunning – that light is fabulous shining way down to the depths of those trees!

    • As the clouds sweep across the mountain, the sunlight creates scene after scene. So many snapshots!

  4. Love the lighting!!! Wow!

    • Yes, the light was exactly what I wanted. Sometimes you can spend a lot of time and effort just getting into a place like that and find that the weather has turned bad and the light is gone. This day there was a mixture, but enough sun coming through to show off the terrain.

  5. Beautifully rugged with the forever sky. I love the deep, rich colors.

    • That is indeed rugged country. No roads and in that scene, no trails. That’s my favorite kind of country.

    • From those kind of high places, there is a different perspective on the clouds.

  7. The dappling of sunlight just makes those trees pop off the page!

I am admiring those upright trees in the middle of Your photo trying fill the caps of hills and. trying to reach the sky.

    • Aren’t trees amazing though? They survive and flourish where one would not think they ever could.
