Amazing shots! I don’t know if we have this variety of Fritillary here. It’s just beautiful and great to be able to see in these life-size images!

WOW! What a pleasant surprise these beauties are! The colors and detail are amazing. Love the bokeh of photo #2. I hope we see much more macros from you.

This little guy visited our house and liked that plant enough to stay around. I couldn’t really get close enough for a shot with a macro lens though: these were shot with a 70-300mm VR lens at 300mm.

This is a bit different from our silver bordered fritillary. What a good shot it makes with the flowers in the background. It is perfect for fall.

They’re all beautiful shots, I can’t even pick a favorite and the fall colors are perfect. You need to make some fall cards out of these. Gorgeous!

These colors do fit in with fall, but in general our fall colors haven’t really shown up yet. Just a few patchy areas. I’m hoping for much more!

That little butterfly just stayed around and I appreciated the change to photograph him! Usually I try to use a macro lens on them but this time there was no chance for that and so I used a zoom. I was happy at how they turned out anyway.
