    • These are very small, smaller than the blue ones, but a very pure white.

  2. You just know that it’s waiting for a little bee to fly in so that it can brush it as it goes!
    Lovely!

    • I’m sure it is! I also would think that because the whites show up so well in the green undergrowth that they would do quite well because of the attention.

  3. We haven’t had violets for over a month now… I miss them. It’s a shame they don’t bloom all the time. I love the softness of the first photograph… beautifully done.

    • They seem to be at their peak bloom right now in the valley and it has turned out to be a very good year for them. As you go up in elevation, they bloom later and in the high country you can see them in late summer too.

    • Thanks Stacey. I keep experimenting and some of the experiments work OK.

    • We also have lots of them in the yard, although they are about through blooming for the year here. Yellow ones are also blooming along one of the streams not far from here and there are several of the white species starting to bloom at a little higher elevation. I’m also a sucker for violets!

  6. How pretty it must be to have different colors of them blooming at once.

    • It’s enjoyable to find them but the different colors are always in different places. Now I know where to look though!
