Just had to interrupt posting photos of desert flowers ’cause the wild Geraniums are starting to bloom now here in Montana.

  1. Terry, your images get better and better – these last two are really pretty and so soft with detail…

  3. Beautiful, I love that last one, almost looks 3D.

    • I like the way that came out too. It was taken at f3.8 and for that lens the depth of field is around 1/32nd inch.

  4. Nice color in spite of the sticky business and the scent.

    • The color is unique among Montana wildflowers, although the wild rose is in that neighborhood.

  5. This looks like the wild geranium sold here for the garden. Go backwards on my blog to last week, to see a wild geranium I found over by the ocean. It was pale, talll, and lanky.

    Yours is much prettier.

    • They are distinctly different, aren’t they! those here grow quite tall, too, perhaps 2 feet. I see one is native to the east half of the country and the other the west, although a few states overlap. Interesting!
