  1. Really pretty – wish we could have some of that – blue sky!! I won’t complain too loud though – we need the rain, I think!! They help the flowers bloom and grow and bloom and grow!! ;o)

    • Outside of the brief time during which these photos were taken, we’ve had rain clouds, but no measurable rain. Today the forecast is for high winds.

    • It’s one of the endearing things about spring here. The clouds are spectacular in late summer too, when thunderstorms sweep in.

  3. One of those days when Montana lives up to its Big Sky Country tagline.

By the way, Glacier and other parks are waiving their entry fees during National Park Week April 17-25.

    • I saw that about Glacier. Not much for roads open yet though, but they will be open much earlier this year.

    • It really is awesome Scott, especially when viewed from fairly high up. The road I was hiking on is still closed by snow a little further up but makes a great hike on an evening..

  6. I heard you were having some weather out there. Bet you don’t want to know it was 84 degrees here yesterday!

Love those the shadows in cloud shots.

    • We had 84 degrees too, but it took us two days to accumulate that much. The last few days haven’t been out of the 40’s. Today we had a brief very heavy snow and the temp was 33. I actually got a couple shots of wildflowers just before the heaviest of it hit. That involved changing a lens while holding an umbrella against the wind. The snow wasn’t much of a problem, but the wind was.

  7. Wow, it sure is. Although the mountains aren’t too shabby either.

  8. These skies are so beautiful. The clouds make the mountain look small. Wow…

    • One of the many reasons why I like being in the high country is that it gives perspective on the mountains and the sky. I’ve always liked that and I’m sure I always will.

  9. Hope you don’t mind, Terry. But I would like to leave a message for Stacy Dawn. If she were to go to her blog settings/comments and select the second option in the comments form placement box, I could leave a comment on her blog. Otherwise, I cannot.

I’ve included a comment for this posting in an e-mail to you. As usual, these are the types of scenic photographs others would love to have on their walls!!!!!

    • I passed that message on, Iona and sent an email to you, too. I think you’re right: mountains and clouds might make great subjects for prints.

  10. Beautiful colors-definitely Big Sky country! You must be pretty high up to get that view.

    • This time of year, the roads to the real high country trail heads are still closed because of ice and snow. These were taken at about 4,000 feet on a road that is nice to hike even though it’s not yet drivable much higher. Of an evening I can drive the Jeep up a mile or two and then hike another couple of miles, which I do for conditioning, and get some great views too. My “gym fees” are only a little bit for gas to get to the road (about 5 miles).
