Montana Outdoors

We have had interesting and varied weather today from a front that is moving through. I saw some spectacular clouds earlier in the day when I didn’t have my camera with me. These photos were taken this evening on a walk in the high country: I was glad that I didn’t miss all of the pretty clouds after all.

Stunning photos. I sure would have liked to be in Montana this week. You, Christine from Quietpaths, Pat from Ecorover, and Tammie from Spirithelpers all had the same sort of shots. They are all in my sidebar, so I won’t try to link them.

There’s an interesting synergy between a big mountain like that one and the clouds that collect over it. Sometimes the mountains will create clouds over its top. These, I think were altered somewhat by the mountain, but there were many similar ones across other parts of the sky as well. It’s a fascinating study.

Even with as much I like clouds (which is a lot), these clouds inconsequential compared to the mountains!! The mountains are what take the show here. 😀 Yet, in the scheme of things, the mountains would not be a thing without the clouds and their shaping of the topography of the earth. Does that make sense? 😀

The mountains are the reason I could never leave Montana. Yes, clouds do shape the Earth in several ways. They hold the hope for the continuation of life here because they hold the promise of life-sustaining water. If only everyone understood that!
