What will the day be like?

  1. well, you are looking east, so those clouds should continue to move east with the weather pattern, giving you a nice day. Did it really turn out that way? Or were there more clouds coming from the west?

    • It’s too soon to tell. I like your reasoning, Cedar, but this is spring in Montana and about anything can happen. Twenty minutes after the photo, the heavy clouds were completely gone. Clouds are moving in fast from the west today, but they seem to be spread out and i think it will be a very nice day for the most part.

  2. Always nice to be rewarded for rolling out early.

  3. Before reading your reply to Cedar, I was going to suggest that all would be well by the time you had finished your coffee!
Hope it turns into a lovely weekend.

    • Thanks! It turned out partly sunny and I decided upon a long walk downriver during which it snowed, making it a wonderful day!

    • It was a rather dramatic day at that, but what a great time to be outdoors!

    • We’re getting into spring type weather now, which means we can have all types on one day. I love this time of year!

  7. Marvelous! I love cloud photos! I love sunrise photos too. 😀

    • Thanks Iona! I do too. You know, cloud watching is not all that bad of a way to spend some time! I especially like the late summer thunder storms that sweep in during the late afternoon.

  8. It looks to be party cloudy with a chance of mostly beautiful.

    • That’s about the way it turned out, Jewel. After the sunrise, the sky cleared, then clouded up, then snowed for a bit, and then cleared again. All phases were beautiful, and I was lucky enough to be able to sit out the snow storm under some big pine trees just above the river.

  9. I love the hill in front and the silhouetted grasses and trees. Sounds like a great day (except for the snow part).

    • The spring snows are actually quite enjoyable. They are capricious, don’t last long, and all the while we realize the snow won’t stay around for months.
