This one came to full bloom in 2 to 3 weeks. We will now try to figure out how to care for it so that it will bloom again next year. I know some folks can do that but we haven’t ever been able to.
I just have to tell you – you have got to be one special person. I’ve learned a little about you through your blog – I hope you and your wife and family have a truly Merry Christmas.
Terry! Long time no see. This is a wonderful shot! Nice structure, DOF and colors.
I’m trying to do some light keyboard work, and have signed up for the Virtual Photowalk 2010 photo challenge. It is flexible enough that I might be able to participate. And even if I can only do so on a part-time basis, they won’t kick me out! lol
At one time, you suggested that I change to WordPress. Well, I have activated an account there for this new photo challenge. Yet, after going to their page, I am completely confused! Do you have any time, or the inclination to offer me some assistance? If so, go to pilgrim0391 at gmail.com – if you would please. Thanks.
Beautiful, rich colors. Those are such pretty plants.

They are really pretty. I think sometimes they are overlooked with all of the bustle of the season.

Beautiful! I’m trying my luck at growing one for the first time right now. It will be a while before it blooms, though.

That’s in our dining room in the light that comes in through the window on a dark, cloudy day. Took a long exposure (6 seconds at f25, ISO400.)

Red is so difficult, but you have done a superb job with this shot! Soft and calming, not garish and loud… quite nice.
