A week ago I posted a photo of the old swimming hole. I visited there again today and found it had been redecorated.

The old swimming hole

Just down stream a bit the scene looked like this:

Clark Fork

and when I wandered down there, I met a couple of new friends with whom I will acquaint you tomorrow after I decide which photos to use.

  1. You finally got snow! Love that white stuff in photographs. Not so much when I’m driving or out taking shots. Brrrrr! -8˚chills my bones!

    • I like the snow here because it’s warm: the sub-zero stuff is something I don’t like. There was even a little freezing rain on top of the snow last night and our roads are a mess today. There were a few drops of rain in the air when I was at the river. Strange winter weather!

  2. That’s very pretty when it’s a dusting of snow. Actually, I do think snow is lovely, I just don’t like the cold.

    • You know, if it were just the snowy days it would be quite pleasant but the really cold days aren’t. Once in a while we have a few inches of snow at night followed by a clear day above freezing and it’s so warm and beautiful.

    • It’s a very photogenic place and changes constantly. I probably shoot to much down there, but I love the river. I think you and Preston would really enjoy spending a little time there. I have the advantage of being able to just walk down there from my house and do so often. There are also waterfowl, eagles and water wildlife quite often too.
