Montana Outdoors
Great landscapes. You really have captured what nature looks like in areas of vast amounts of nature. It makes me long for my camp in Canada.

Probably quite close to what you see in Canada, Maggie. We’re only a hundred miles from the border. Probably quite different from what you’re seeing in Italy though!

Doesn’t look like winter is too far away from you. We’re still in the 40s, no signs of snow. It’s late this year…not complaining. But I’ll like it fine to photograph in its pristine white.

Winter is only a few thousand feet above us now. I’m really looking forward to some snow, although not so much on the roads.

Incredible! In the middle photo–is that the trees bending or is it a manmade structure?

Those are trees naturally bent, Barbara: I don’t know exactly what caused them to do that, but it isn’t really too rare. Probably a combination of snow load last winter and heavy wind.

These are just a few of the views from along this trail. The nice thing is that they are constantly changing in their character. Give me a great excuse to travel there often.

It still looks very autumnal there. Those bent trees are very interesting. I look forward to your snowy photos but, honestly, I don’t think I could stand cold weather anymore after all these years here. I can’t stand being cold anymore, brrrrr.

So far this year it has stayed fairly warm, but now we’re getting some cold air in. It is 12° at the moment.

Wonderful! But all of your photos are!!
Those Tamarack/Larch trees light up like torches, don’t they? Love them with the contrasts they present to the evergreens. Great shot. Have been browsing witnessing what I’ve missed over this past couple of months. Lovely, Lovely, lovely. 😀

Thanks Iona! I love the Larch too. They have now lost nearly all of their needles. Not too long though until they will turn that pretty lime green with new ones.
