A “partly cloudy” day

Small drops of rain, a few fluffy clouds, a moment of sunshine and the trees; my kind of forecast!

    • They are variously referred to as Western Larch or Tamarack. I don’t know what the technical difference is, if there is one. There is also an Alpine Larch, which is a much smaller version.

  2. That sky is incredible. Is that really the way it looked?

    • Very close. I used a polarizing filter, which brought out the blue somewhat and cleared up a slight haze in the air, but the result was just about what my eye saw.

  3. You live in some wild lookin’ country, mister!

    • There’s a lot of wild country here, Bo and I love being out in it. It takes a little effort, but I don’t have to go far for scenes like that.

  5. Snow here.

Your photo has lots of colors compared to the view out my window right now.

    • Snow, huh! I’ve heard of that. We’ve had a little so far at the house, but the mountains are white now and more coming down in the next few days. Personally, I could have waited awhile.

    • I hope to try for some snow pictures in the next few days if I can get into the high country. It has been raining down lower, and getting from there to the snow while staying dry is an issue.

    • I liked the sky too. (The light that way lasted only about a minute.)
