He’s cute. On the photo challenge, did you get the chance to read the tale of the drawing of a seven legged spider in lieu of paying a bill? If not, here is a version of it.

Seems that I remember that the spider drawing wound up on e-bay. Or perhaps that is my imagination??
YET, if you google the tale, you will wind up with references to e-bay along with it. 😀

The little green guy was on the house right next to the door and really showed up. He was on the clematis today about a foot away and since he matches the leaf color exactly, I suppose he will be in residence there until winter. I hope so.

Me too, Cedar! The large array of visiting critters are a big reason why we love living where we do. For the last week we have had daily visits from two families of wild turkeys (11 in all) and they seem to have adopted us. Now they ignore me when I go outside.

Ah great shot! I was playing with a praying mantis the other day after I saved it from being eaten by one of our dogs. It wouldn’t hold still long enough for me to photograph scurrying up the tree. Neat green critters.

A few years ago we were visited by a mantis who was calm enough that we could feed it insects by hand. This one is a little more nervous.

I don’t know if they do or not. This one seems to be doing just fine though. If it stays around I will see if the arm regenerates.

I don’t know if this species survives in the adult form or not. If not, it’s life expectancy is growing pretty short. We hit 32 last night.
