They are incredible little creatures, Bo. In just the last week or so they have let me get quite close and I’ve been loving it. Can’t always get photos though.

Those tails really catch the light when they flare them. I’m sure it’s an aerodynamics thing, but also a real show!

Wonderful! Wow…I’ve never seen a hummingbird from that angle before. I probably wouldn’t ever…except for through photography! Great job!

It was just one of those times when timing and focus came together. I was just trying to get some shots at close range with the macro lens.

I love it when we can catch a bird in a conductor pose. I did it with Puffins and Razorbills back in June and you’ve got it perfect with a tiny hummer. Very cool!
