    • You can see how that caught my attention first thing this morning. It looked like a little flame.

  2. It’s as if the first rays of sun unfold in this lovely flower.

    • It made me believe that the sun’s rays were converted to flower energy.

    • This was the first sun we’ve seen in several days and I think the blossom was just soaking it up! It’s one of those things where you just have to be lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

    • The only thing I can take credit for on that one was holding the camera steady.

    • That is strictly a result of spot metering. I like it though myself.

  7. Hi Terry,

I like setting the flower against the black background. Sets it off nicely. If anything, I would have liked to see the flower a little brighter – capturing the sunshine. Very nice.

    • Thanks, Ed. I think you’re right: perhaps I can bump that up a bit.
