The 5th white (green)

Well, … maybe not.

  1. Looks like it would be a tad difficult to putt one in …

  2. Just a tad, Cedar! Another reason why I’m not a golfer.

  3. I don’t golf either… the shot made me laugh.

  4. Heee!!

Apparently in Nome, Alaska they have a golf tournament every year that’s played on the ice of the Bering Sea before it breaks up. They use red golf balls (so they show up on the ice). This is reminding me somewhat of that–only without the polar bears.

  6. Lori,

When I try to play golf, I notice a lot of people laugh!

  7. Sara,

I’d sure like to see what they put in the ground rules to address the bear issues! You know there’s a (by now) pretty famous fox at one of the Missoula courses that will come out and grab a ball when it hits the green. The golfers love it!

  8. Maureen,

I know. The continuous laughter was one reason I quit playing. The other reason was that the club management wouldn’t let me play any more. Something about they wanted the holes played numerically or something like that.

  9. Hee…

I think I remember that when they put in the IronHorse course in Whitefish, they had a bear problem – not sure what they did.

Still, the orange flag, mountains and clouds – it’s a great photo!
