  4. Oooo!! That’s pretty!! What a wonderful looking place.

And I’m jealous. It’s still winter out where y’all are!! The snow’s mostly gone here in town. I bet it’ll all be gone by the end of the week.

  5. And my brother thought being snowed in in Portland was bad. Nice photo. I could see moving in there in spite of the snow–or maybe because of it.

  6. Tabbie,

It’s really a good location. There’s even a stream flowing through the meadows.

  7. No, it’s not mine, Sumedh. If it were, you would be welcome!

  8. Bo,

Maybe a little too much house, but the fields would be nice to have.

  9. Sara,

Yes, we still have snow and it will likely stay until spring. It’s actually very good for the mountains, because with the warm weather and the rain and freezing at night (up higher) the snow is very dense, almost complete ice. Where it’s deep in the higher elevations, it will not all melt until late July, just what the country needs. Sure is a mess to get around in down here though.

  10. Malcolm,

That would be an excellent place for a writer. There’s enough solitude to not be interrupted, nice views and close enough to civilization for the necessities.

  11. Apparently that deep winter freeze that is gripping the midwest is not effecting your outings!

  12. As happens many times to us here in western Montana, the severe cold is sliding by to the east. We are often protected that way here by the Continental Divide.

  13. Looks so peaceful,… do you really think it is? I wonder if that family has it’s challenges and difficulties, too. At this time I always start dreaming about warm sun and a camp chair under the pines somewhere. It will be a few months before our snow is gone and I can do that!

  14. Cedar,

I’m sure they do have challenges, but it is a quiet place.

I’m starting to dream about the coming of spring too. I think that all over the country we need to be refreshed again by its beauty. It has been a rather ugly year.
