After a day in the 70’s yesterday, today was in the 40’s and a poncho was in order for hiking the trails, but this little Trillium didn’t mind the rain
and these (unknown) blossoms seemed to be doing just fine.

Our temperature dipped down, too, and there’s even a frost warning tonight.
I like the clarity of the water droplets on the trillium! Hmm, more unknown flowers.

I would think frost this time of year would be very rare for you! We expect a little snow tonight, maybe quite a bit in the mountains.
When I came across the Trillium it was raining slightly, just enough to bead up a little on the petals. I really do like that flower!

I’m surprised you’re still having frost too, Bernie! It looked like your wildflowers were quite a bit ahead of ours.
I can’t pass up a chance to photograph a Trillium, no matter how many photos I already have. This one was in an anrea where I’ve not seen them before too.

Gorgeous… Especially the trillium. I didn’t comment on earlier posts, but that motorcycle sure looks like fun! And you have geese, too!!!

Thanks, Jennifer!
Yes, the bike is great: now if we would get some decent weather… I don’t mind getting out in the rain, but even the cherry trees around Flathead Lake will be blooming much later this year.

It has gotten cold here as well, but at least it has not snowed.

Scienceguy,
In late august, we’ll wish we had a few of these cool days I guess.

Courtney,
Yes, that was nice. I hope that wasn’t the whole summer! Actually, I really like these temperatures compared to the heat and dry conditions we have in late summer. Thanks for the visit!

Thanks, Sumedh! The Trillium is one flower I would not know how to improve.

Still waiting to see my first trillium, but the sky is blue and the trees are finally leafing. Flood warnings, but not bad, so I guess this is about as springy as I get for April. Maybe May…

I’m going to have to agree with the audience that trillium shot is gorgeous. I keep an eye out but no such luck. I understand your weather woes – hail today! 🙂

I hope you find the trilliums, Bo. Sure is nice to see the new leaves coming, isn’t it?

Lori, I hope you run into them too! Last year I found them at higher elevations well into May.
Today we didn’t have the snow but had some high winds and it stayed in the 40’s. Another week maybe?

Lovely! I too cannot pass up a trillium without photographing it, even though I have quite a few nice images of at least Western Trilliums.

There are several wildflowers I can’t pass up. Today I took a couple more shots of Glacier Lilies to add to the pile.
I was pleased today to see that the Sierra Club used one of my Trillium photos for their Daily Ray of Hope e-mail.
