When I first saw this guy on the river yesterday I thought there would be no chance to get a shot at him, especially with the brush between us, but I really wanted to get both the goose and his shadow, so I tried. After about half an hour I was able to convince him I wasn’t there and was able to ever so slowly move into position. It’s unusual to see a single goose and also for him to stand in the water like that along this stretch of the river.
