  2. It has snowed here at the higher elevations off and on since September, but this is the first on the valley floors. In another month or so I’m sure we’d be happy to send some of it down your way!

    Thanks for visiting, fotokew!

  4. I have to admit I don’t like winter as much as the rest of the year, although I do like the cooler temps better than the late summer heat. Two evenings ago we had a really good rain and were enjoying hearing it hitting the roof. It’s nice, but not as enjoyable as a warm summer rain.

  5. I had a way big feeling that storm was coming your way (hit Spokane and pushed on thru Coeur d’Alene) but we had a bright sunny day today. (too north) That’s the first time I’ve seen it snow in Spokane before us. (Usually we’re three feet deep when it shows up.) I thought that interesting. Great shots – your poor little pine tree usually looks like our hand-cut Christmas trees. Ones Charlie Brown with be envious of. 🙂 Poor guy looks pretty overwhelmed with that white blanket. I love the snow. I love tracking in it, playing in it, sledding in it.. why all of these things offer an excuse for hot chocolate and a roaring fire. Two of my favorite things! Great shots Terry!

  6. Ah, the attitude of the west. When the wind is cold and the snow is drifting, the water has turned hard, and it’s just plain nasty outside…well then… let’s go out and play in it!

  7. Our turn! Our turn!

I think the storm is going to miss us this time, though.

    Great pics.

  8. During the news last night the weatherman said the storm would likely move into the northeast and mess them up during the holiday, which is bad timing. There was quite a bit of damage in western Montana caused by a foot of wet snow overnight.
