With all the smoke we’ve had in the air, I’ve been expecting some spectacular colors, but the thing we’re missing is clouds. The few small ones that we’ve had, like this one, have been colorful, but very few. Oh well, sadly, it will be a long fire season.
This was in the sky to the east last night. I had gone outside to look at the western sky and it’s what I saw when I turned around. You don’t always know. Thanks for visiting!
Do you mess around with Photoshop much? I’m just asking because with this pic (awesome, by the way) you could ‘tweak’ the colors and really bring out the oranges and kinda ‘posterize’ it.
But it’s a cool photo even without tweaking – don’t get me wrong.
Hey what a fabulous shot – I’ll say it for you – no tweaking was involved. That was the real sky. I can understand why it was thought so… the way various oranges almost meld together – almost looks surreal. You caught a truly beautiful moment.
Lori,
Nature set this one up; and a fairly decent lens. I’m still often surprised at what the camera sees relative to what I see. Sometimes I like it, sometimes not so much.
Neat cloud formation Terry, love the warm glow in it, very nice.

Beautiful photo…but the cloud looks a little lonely.

silken,
I really love the times just after dawn and just before dark because the array of colors seems larger and more distinct.

Pinhole,
That cloud was really lonely. We need a whole bunch more, big fat ones that are full of water!

wolf,
No, I’ve never had anything to do with Photoshop; just haven’t gotten around to playing with it. Some day…
