This is the time of year when the beargrass blooms in the high country. These photos were taken Monday on a wood cutting trip in the Siegel Creek area of Western Montana.
I’m sure I’m posting too many photos of it, but I chose to do so for those who are not familiar with it. It can create spectacular scenes.

The flower stems can get up to six feet tall and the blooms can be seen covering large areas of the forest as in the following 4 photos.
One of the things I like most about them is where they grow.
