I take a lot of shots. There’s so much opportunity here. You would just love it. I live outside of the cities and hike a lot. With your photography skills, you would have a great time here this time of year! I hope you will be able to visit western Montana!
This is beautiful! I am still baffled how you take these shots! (This reminds me of your grouse, and your eagle) amazing! When winter hits and your completely bored hopefully along with figuring the id’s of the flowers you’ll shoot me an email with your techniques. Because I’ve spent days trying to figuring out how you are making these shots! Honestly tho – this is fabulous!
Actually, it’s more luck than anything. I keep experimenting and sometimes something works. A big part of it is just being out there a lot where there is so much opportunity. I keep wondering “What if?” and give it a try. Every time I learn a little more about how the camera (or those who designed it) thinks.
I think the lark sparrow’s colors (which I’m pretty sure is who the guy is that is posing for you so thoughfully) is facinating. I primarily love that eye-line.
Nice image Terry, I think you take more shots than I do, it’s really cool to be able to see some area’s I hope to be able to visit some day.

I love that image Terry. The needles build a nice frame around the bird.

Andy,
Thanks for the visit! Some pictures are just waiting to be taken. The sparrow wasn’t my original target, but the way he posed…

Adam,
Sparrows aren’t the most ornate birds, but they are perky little fellows and I find them a lot of fun to watch..

Thanks! I wasn’t sure what he was. I have a lot to learn about identification of birds (and flowers).

Narziss,
It was lucky that I just happened to have the camera in my hand when I saw him pose. Thanks for the visit!
