More Thompson River frost
I was going to save these shots of the frosty trees along the river, but the meteorologists are predicting a lot more frost soon (forecast is for -7° Monday), and so there will be more chances.
(These photos were taken about 36 miles upriver from Montana Highway 200.)

Might as well enjoy it.
Early this morning there was more freezing fog. It’s not fun if you have to drive in it, but if you don’t then you might enjoy the decorations it leaves behind. This morning on the river:

Frost bands
Sometimes, a band of fog will settle into a valley and leaves, when it finally lifts, a band of frost that shows where it had been.

After the fog
On Thanksgiving eve a heavy fog rolled in and hid the valley, thickest along the river, completely obscuring the view, but once the fog cleared, as it always does, there were new things of beauty for those who would see them.
