These are just beginning to bloom now and there are many different variations. I’ll post many more before the next couple of weeks are over. I fell in love with these years ago!
Hi Montucky! I clicked on your link at Surface & Surface Photography to bring me here and I’m glad I did! What beautiful photos you have and Montana seems gorgeous, still pristine without the curse of modern civilization!
This photo is my favorite so far! Beautiful!

Thank you for the visit and the nice comment, Barbara! There is much beauty in Montana’s remaining wild country, and I try to display images of what I see of it, most of which can not be seen from the roads and highways. I’m very pleased that you have enjoyed seeing some of it!
Elegant for sure,… all white satin, seed pearls for decoration,..and lovely cobalt blue accents on her “gown!” What a lovely flower!

Aren’t they lovely? I was struck by the way this one was posing. It seemed to emphasize the “Elegant” in its name.

So elegant, almost looks like an alien life form.

They do look so different from most flowers, and this one seemed to have an attitude.

This is a rather different look at one of them, but it really struck me when I saw it.

I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s fantastic! You’ve captured it beautifully too.

I’ve only known these for a few years now, but I really look forward to their appearance every year now. I can’t get over them.

It does look mysterious at that, but just one pose of these lovely little wildflowers and I was lucky to get it.
