I don’t usually photograph dandelions, but I had to make an exception this time. Here is an alfalfa field with a big problem!

Beautiful, and nutritious too!
They are pretty, though!
That’s beautiful! Makes me feel better, too, about my front lawn.
WordVixen,
There could be a few salads in there and maybe the potential for a jug of wine.
Yes they are, Ann. In an area that large it’s really pretty to see the different ways light plays across the color.
Janet,
I have some in my front lawn too but not quite as bad as this. The photo shows only about a tenth of the field.
Those colors are amazing. It has been drizzling nonstop here for a couple of days and I am feeling a bit under the weather, so this really raises my spirits.
wow! Strangely, though, the first thing that came unto my mind after seeing this was the Daffodils poem by Wordsworth…
Scienceguy,
We are having a few days of unseasonably hot weather, so that drizzle sounds good! I do like the sun though.
Sumedh,
It does remind me of the scene he painted, too.
Actually it’s very pretty. I’ve seen this year more than I’ve ever seen myself. Not that I don’t have any respect for that resilient wildflower but I tend to ignore them too. Your shot is telling me I’m obviously biased!
They’re really a pretty flower and I liked the scene of the whole field full, but they certainly take a lot from that alfalfa field in terms of water, space, etc.
looks like some of the fields of wildflowers in TX in early spring
I remember areas somewhat like that in Arizona in the spring too, with poppies.
